As always, stay tuned here on !comicstrips@lemmy.world for a slow trickle out of Jucika comics, but if you want to find more, here’s a good post with a large collection that /u/JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social posted last year: https://piefed.social/post/1258520
**Also, check out some Jucika fan art! https://piefed.social/c/eurographicnovels/p/2128207/the-best-of-jucika-fan-art-12-pieces-with-two-videos

There’s an animated version of this one on the linked fan-art thread:
That’s outstanding
How did they nail her sheer Jucikaness in the between frames? The animation is good, but part of the joke is that it looks like Jucika is coming down to see the guy in the second panel before revealing that she just wants to get rid of the radio in the third. Her facial expression and body language in the animation give away the punchline way too early.
Dammit, now I have the song stuck in my head, but can’t remember whose it is. Iirc it’s something from 60s-70s French chanson.
P.S. It’s Francis Lai’s theme for ‘Un homme et une femme’.
That’s so well done
Not Hungarian enough
Thank you, I hadn’t realized it had audio until your version (and trying to find the difference)
it’s a subtle difference, I’m glad you liked it.
Love it ! What’s the band/song ??
Móló by Thy Catafalque. I put the name of the band in the video.
Thy Catafalque is basically the only Hungarian (metal) band I know/listen to.
Thanks !!
Hát azér nem mondanám hogy ez az én stílusom de nagyon magyar az biztos. Beediteltem volna alá mást de persze hogy a telefonom nem kooperál velem és nagyonis túl lusta nagyok ahoz hogy laptopon megvágjam.

That’s it, this comic needs to be a modern animated series.
Weird, i can watch the video in the app, but the imgur link seems to be dead actually. (I was trying to download it) Maybe its cached somehow?
Try this page?
Ooh weird i figured it out. On mobile the video links to https://imgur.com/qyqQPh9 which is dead.
But on web it links to https://i.imgur.com/qyqQPh9.mp4 which works. Its a bug in Thunder probably, because the raw content of your comment definitely contains the latter.
I also could not view it, on sync. thx
Also having problem in Thunder, but I think the issue is a redirect in Firefox mobile. It does it if I manually put in the good URL, too.
Also affecting Eternity. I guess it won’t get fixed in this one :(
She just ninja’d into the room to destroy the radio? That’s some pretty impressive upper arm strength, I think.
What’s impressive is that she managed to kick the radio with her upsetting baby-sized feet.
When you’re desperate for sleep, you’ll do anything.
Sleep, right, that’s what that is
Panel 2 : My fantasies are coming true! the lady from upstairs can’t resist me!
Panel 3 : ;_;man, Hungarian booty calls are intense
Turnőforszag tagyarz radiófarg! Timpergasz fűrz seksörzargag 😏
This must be some Adriano Celentano level shit.
Hogy mit parancsolsz?
Missing ű and ő to be weird enough
I did it off mobile, so I couldn’t be bothered to config a new keyboard. I’ll add them now
She’s quite the athlete.
This might be my favorite one tbh
Jucika is the woman I aspire to be.
You want to be a passive aggressive criminal that breaks in to other peoples homes just to break their stuff?
Passive aggressive? This is just regular aggressive, guy. And the man deserves it for blaring his music at night with the window open.
There’s nothing in the comic suggesting the radio is even on, the guy is even reading a book.
The title of the comic is “Jucika wants to sleep” which is a pretty big hint.
Also the animated version at the top of the thread makes it clear the radio is blaring music
The title of the comic is usually a big hint in ‘Jucika’.
Ah yes I’m sure the author intended for it to be clear that she’s just being an asshole and the guy definitely wasn’t listening to music. She’s not the main character of the strip or anything. Jesus christ. It’s a comic strip, it’s not that serious, grow up.
I really can’t see what leads you to the conclusion that sound is emitted from that radio. There’s literally nothing to indicate that.
What would be the premise of the strip if the radio was not turned on?
It would definitely be clearer with some little zaggity scribbles to indicate loud sound but come on
What would be the premise of the strip if the radio was not turned on?
Anybody’s guess…she could be trying to sneak away from the top apartment for unknown reasons and hastily decide to abort when she notices his little-too-happy gaze when he sees her in the window, accidentally knocking over the radio in her hurry.
Given that a theme in these is usually involving unwanted male attention and her escaping it in various ways, that IMO makes more sense given the available information in this strip.
My mom and my dad met when my mom turned his radio off, because she didnt like the music he was listening.
Have you posted this one earlier, or have i seen it somewhere else?
I haven’t posted it before, but someone mentioned that there’s an animated version of it in the fanart post.
