Before Jason Todd met Batman he was a successful circus acrobat. Batman screwed him up so much that his past retroactively changed so that he was a street kid stealing hubcaps.
When Jason Todd was first introduced he was given an origin very similar to Dick Grayson’s (although since it was given in more detail than Dick’s had been in the '40s modern versions of Dick Grayson tend to use a lot of elements from Jason Todd.) After the Crisis on Infinite Earths Jason’s past was rewritten with the “street kid” origin. And then a couple of years after that he was killed off.
The only real characters in The Wizard of Oz were the Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the West. The story is her fear as played out in her mind by Scarecrow’s toxins.
I’m not so sure. The Scarecrow from the land of Oz was literally made of straw. This guy bleeds. I think Batman is onto something.
