Marquees Brownlee 154kmh / 95mph. 3x the speed limit. Absolutely insane
Stephanie Sterling. I like her still, I don’t share many of the complaints that other people field. But her content just didn’t really evolve as my preferences did, and after years of the same complaints it felt like not a good use of my time.
She’s said many times she doesn’t mind dwindling view counts as long as she gets to make content on her own terms, so that’s fair.
Philip DeFranco. I watched him for over a decade then after covid I started picking one or two stories from the video to read about and I was pretty disappointed by how often it was mispresented. After a bit its obvious its intentional by what’s being left out. Even though we still had the same politics I dont want to watch someone who intentionally skews the stories by leaving out key facts. I can arrive at the right conclusion with the whole story.
Marquez Brownlee. I lost trust in his sincerity and in his personal life he’s an asshole with multiple speeding offenses.
Unbox therapy. Infomercials. The whole influencer thing does not influence me.
Mark Rober: I don’t want my views converted to money that goes to the Mormon cult.
I click “Don’t recommend channel” whenever I detect bullshit, like if the word “banned” is in the title. Those are never about anything that was actually banned.
VSauce, all three of them. They were peak YouTube way back when, but there was this long pause in videos shortly after they built their big studio, and VSauce 1 started focusing entirely on shorts about uninteresting things and VSauce 3 stopped making videos entirely. 1 and 2 are kinda back at making videos, but their quality jumped off a cliff. Feels like they’re making videos out of obligation.
MxR Mods. Two reasons for this, firstly is that I kinda stopped playing Skyrim. The other being that he started focusing almost entirely on lewd mods.
Kurtzhezacht, because their political stance became more and more apparent (billionaires will save the future).
Lewis Rossman.
I have no valid reason for this. I fundamentally agree with the guy on most things for the dozen or so vids I have seen. Right to repair etc etc.
But something about him just comes across as entitled and annoying. Like even if I knew the was right I would want to disagree with him.
Crazy Russian Hacker/Taras Kul, videos were really explaining science in an interesting and funny way but now seem like TeleShopping but for useless items.
Meidas Touch. Clickbait headlines and thumbnails, unrealistically optimistic takes on things. I want information, not bullshit.
Game Grumps, because
Nah, nevermind. Those guys are awesome.
The Young Turks.
It was annoying me for a while but I had been a paid member for years and watched their whole show every day. I noticed them giving a bit too much ground to the right and Anna swinging too right for my taste but Cenk was still left enough to let it pass.
I don’t remember what finally convinced me but my yearly subscription was coming up and I just couldn’t see myself watching it anymore so I unsubscribed and cut off my membership.
I pay for The Majority Report, The Humanist Report, and Kyle Kulinski and those are people I don’t think will be betraying the left.
The Gaming Historian - he stopped making videos (good for him to stop before it became a chore)
The Escapist - everyone left for Second Wind after they tried to lay off people
AvE, supporting the truckers “protest”
Grade A Under A, covid restrictions denier
LTT. Linus is a whiny out of touch git and all the good content creators have already left
