No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it weird that I cringe whenever someone calls my name and I avoid using peoples names when talking to them?
1·16 hours ago“Dude,” “bro,” and “buddy,” and “son” make up how I talk to everyone too.
I noticed it from “that’s not how underside of a car looks like at all.”

Idk he was absurdly ok with child porn generated in twitter.
Tho maybe he was not into children himself, and simply supports the people who are?
Opposite for bichura/archura from Turkic mythology.
The male mimics human sounds to lure people into woods where they tickle the person to death.
Meanwhile the female just lives in your house, feeds chickens if happy, or breaks your plates if mad. Oh also they come out at night to spin.
(Omg that’s so me :3)
Ngl I wanna look as manly as the next blahaj lurker but I still feel like being tall would help in one particular area.
When people see a conventionally unattractive “guy” being antisocial, the default assumption is not mental health, it’s that they must be a bigoted incel.
Programming for me. Those textbooks are rarely translated well.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your favorite childhood cartoon that everyone else seems to have forgotten about?
2·9 days agoTrying to remember the plot as best as possible.
It’s 1960s. Protagonist Stellina lost her mother in a circus accident but the workers there raised her as their own family.
Later some social workers note this and take her to an abusive orphanage. She escapes there but is very much lost.
This is the first few episodes, and rest is about Stellina trying to reunite with her wholesome circus family.
I believe show was originally Italian or French? It was actually popular in Turkey but name is hard to remember for Turkish speakers, and show itself is forgotten pretty much everywhere else now.

As a uni student, yes. You will even be seen naive/stupid for not using chatbots. And TAs use chatbots to grade, also.
Funny story
I believe there is no system for this either. They are just manually putting the homework pdf you submit into the chatbot and going “grade this paper” one by one; and with no homework context given to the chatbots beforehand.
The reason I say this is that grades still come out a week later, and also if I see a problem is too tedious I am able to just erase the question and submit that pdf with no point loss.
I even had a classmate get 100% on their homework by submitting a blank paper once this semester.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•It's midnight, time for shitposting
101·9 days agoSee I don’t entirely blame young people here. I downloaded a linux distro from their torrent mirror last year and my ISP started emailing me literal threats about piracy laws. It’s the corporations.
(Tho I am pretty young myself for lemmy standards tbf)
