IIRC like half of all species in earth are just different kinds of beetles.
⅔ of species are insects and half of them are beatles
Well, I know about Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe, but I think you might be pushing that a bit, mate! :D
It turns out they were constantly being killed and replaced; Paul was just the one we know about 'cause they got sloppy.
If you play cicadasong backwards you get a recipe for a really ripping lentil soup
They also forgot about the whole “animals shit” thing.
Which wasn’t as big a deal because they also ran out of food. Also probably air.
Truth.
Not to mention, insects are absolutely critical to human existence, and the fact that we regularly dismiss them as “bugs” is absolutely typically pathetic of modern human inconveniences.

One of my favorite observations about ecology through the lens of intelligent design is statistically if you have to assume God intended the earth to have a main character, everyone’s ignoring the sheer, incomparably wide amount of focus he seemed to have on making different beetles.
Humans were clearly the side project. Visible stars that you can see? Also a minor detail for his beetle planet. Saurians and fish? Background characters for beetle planet. His chosen people, the Jews and their long history? A subplot in season 20 of Beetle Planet. God is autistic like the guy who invented Pokémon. This planet was made for 400000 species of beetles
At least he didn’t get stuck on turd beetles like that one planet
Haha, that Douglas Adams take.
Or in terms of main character, maybe even bacteria by biomass and range (living below the ocean floor all the way up in to the atmosphere).
Now figure out which bugs are male and which are female.
Ants are male, locusts are female
I kid, I have a friend who got a PhD in sexing a specific species of fly
Noah later made up a tall tale about how Tubal-Cain and his warriors almost prevented the Ark from launching*, but in reality, it was actually Noah’s little family that spent the prior week without sleep, matching up all the bug species and genders. They were so exhausted by the time The Flood hit that they almost didn’t make it!
* seriously, the 2014 Aronofsky graphic novel was a corker (I didn’t see the film, tho)
