It is hard as an artist seeing your friends who started out in the same circles as you, doing effortlessly well with the parental support that they have. You can’t resent them for it because why would you, if your parents were able, they’d do the same.
But you thought you were equals, starving as martyrs for your respective passions… but, they had a parachute and you didn’t.
Yeah, every “artist” I know has most of there money coming from some other source (investments, rental properties, etc).
On the reverse side, at my university chemical engineering used to be joked about as being for the poor kids. It’s very complex but at the time had the highest salaries. Rich people don’t need salaries, they have investments
