King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard because they are carrying all of the genres
All them Witches and King Buffalo are no slouch either.
(King Gizzard has no right to be as amazing as they are at every single music genre.pick one… It’s insane how good they are.)
There is another band similar to kglw that is called doom gong that is local to the midwest of the united states which does some pretty cool stuff too
The Roots (first four albums especially)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor / A Sliver Mt. Zion
Portishead, Massive Attack
Public Enemy
I’m mostly on the 20 meter band myself. There’s an active packet community on 14.105 LSB.
I was just reading Contact by Carl Sagan. It’s all about bands. Small world.
Opeth, although I don’t love their more recent drift away from death metal (dear god it’s been a decade now). I’ve really loved Cattle Decapitation’s newer stuff, too.
Oh and I second the guy declaring that Wu Tang is for the Children
I like you. You have the same taste as me.
Cattle has been on a streak the last decade or so. 4 or 5 albums that are all incredible.
My friend was my introduction to Opeth and also fell out of love with them around that time.
His new passion band is Castle Rat, he’s absolutely convinced they are the next big thing.
He’s also very excited about us going to see Owlbear in April.
Maybe you will like them too
Thanks, I’ll check them both out!
Dark tranquility 🤘
Wu-Tang is for the
childrenlemmings.They Might Be Giants
Saw them recently in Glasgow. Absolutely fantastic.
Their music is so wholesome.
No one in the world ever gets what they want
And that is beautiful
Everybody dies frustrated and sad
And that is beautiful
This is way too low
You have inspired me. I am listening to Lincoln.
It’s a four-way tie between David Byrne/Talking Heads, Oingo Boingo, Spin Doctors and Yello.
Edit: five way tie - add in Earth, Wind and Fire (pre 1981)
I read this exact comment 10 years ago
Make that 20 or maybe even 30. What can i say? I’m old. I still enjoy discovering new stuff though.
evanescence. I’ve loved Amy since i was a teenager.
jethro tull. Since I was small.
The Presidents Of The United States Of America.
Silly lyrics about bugs and serious rock. What’s not to like?
Fuckin magnets
To be fair, I have an Engineering degree and still don’t know how magnets work.
Last time I saw a good juggalo joke was Juggalos for Mitt. And that was like 2008
I never heard any jokes from ICP. I only ever heard how to survive when everybody hates you.
Linkin Park
Of course it’s kind of a situational thing, favorite band can be different depending in when it’s asked but I think Love has been the one band I never take a break from listening to and never get tired of.
Talking Heads is a very close second, and then many many more close third.
I really want to start sharing music more, but I have to find good ways to share the playlists I make.Imagine Dragons, for sure.
Coldplay is good too, Brunuhville, Lindsay Sterling, The FatRat. All great.
