Title. There’s a bunch of users that I want to block because their content isn’t what I expect from the community, but to block them would basically block their moderated communities too (I think? Correct me if wrong) and that would slowly reduce my feed to nothing.
Thoughts?
You can block mods and not block the community they mod.
Sometimes I block new communities just because when they start they spam my feed, I might not even have anything against the community, it’s just annoying.
This is how I operate in general.
I prefer to browse all and block the communities that I really am just never interested in reading/seeing (it might be worth noting that I am a curious person who can find most subjects interesting to some degree, so I’m not going around blocking everything). Nothing against them necessarily, but I like how this gives me a very varied feed without too much content that is way outside of my field of interests bogging it down
Nah, you can block the mod, and still see what others post.
There was one guy creating a bunch of AI porn communities, I ended up just blocking all of them.
I think blocking those people is counterproductive.
It’s much worse to have a community where you’re the only person posting, as it’s nice to have some help with regular activity.
If anything you may just need to be more proactive about posting, or maybe adjust the rules of your community.
I actually did that!
Then I forgot about it, and posted asking why I couldn’t see most of the posts in the /c which happened to be from this one user.
But that didn’t stop me from accessing the other posts in that /c.
