She’s a keeper bro, don’t worry, do whatever your wife and therapist says you should do, that’s it. ❤️

      it’s scaring her

ngl that part made me super curious. Domestic violence? Alcohol? Rage ‘baitin’? 🥵🥒

(No offense, not trying to make light of your situation, just trying to spread some humor your way. Let’s get you better! 🫂)

Sounds like you’re the love of hers as well—that’s a win already. You guys been through this before, or is this relapse her first experience of this with you?

I was at a conference for librarians and I had a great time. Venders loaded me down with swag (books, totes, stickers, pens, chopsticks) and I attended several eye-opening sessions. We might implement a Library of Things at my library, I’m looking into a vender that simplifies statistics-gathering and -presentation, and I’m generally happy seeing all my fellow library folks.

Had an actual employer level interview and it feels like its been awhile. Went pretty well but honestly many others did without it going anywhere but still better than 100% going no where.

Made a cheesecake for spa day at massage therapy school, then got a terrible massage from a fellow student, but also about ten minutes of “four hands” massage, so that part was pretty cool.

I went in for early voting. There were a lot of Libertarian candidates on the ballot, so I’m hoping a lot on conservatives end up voting for them and splitting the ticket, given the GOP’s unpopularity right now. Maybe my state won’t be completely cobtrolled by Republicans for the first time in 30 years.

Other than that, I did some sewing and replaying through Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. The sewing I’ll need to redo, since I was using 2-ply thread for a blanket stitch to protect the edges of a wool garment, but it’s not quite thick enough. I need to order thicker 4-ply thread to do it properly

Thanks so much for asking! I’m prepping for my cousin’s wedding and I had to get a new suit because I’ve successfully lost some weight. I’m terribly excited. How was your day?

It was pretty lovely, but average. Lot of work, did some music making on my downtime. Had a lazy dinner, played some Windblown with my husband. Was good!

Best reason to need a new suit, imo. Tell your cousin a complete stranger says congratulations!

Bit late so my yesterday was Tuesday.

I dropped the kids off at healthcare, then went to collect a cat bed from some guy, then made two trips to Ikea with the cargo bike I had rented to get some kitchen cupboards I needed (I recently moved), then picked up the kids, then went with them to the public swimming pool where we had lots of fine for three hours and the kids practiced diving, then went out for burgerd, then went home, but two very exhausted kids to bed, then spent two hours searching personal documents and filling out forms for (today’s) signing of the contract for the new job I’m starting next week.

It was a long day, but good.

I stopped playing the Banjo-Kazooie recomp a while ago, so I decided ti boot it up. My mistake! I am unable to play the Clanker’s Cavern level with music on because I HATE the deep water mixed with Clanker and his bloodshot eyes! I never played BK growing up, so as an adult, Clanker scares the shit outta me my first time playing, so that’s probably why I stopped playing until yesterday.

That level gives me a run for my money on most hated level in a 3D platformer collectathon, being probably just as hated for me as Gloomy Galleon from DK64. That level genuinely terrified kid me ( moreso than even evil jack in the box ever could ) and still makes me extremely unsettled to this day. I especially hate the little cut scene for the boss fight. Never thought I would ever find a level worse or on equal footing as that!

    Otherwise, it was perfectly fine.

I fixed a bunch of stuff around my house after cutting out work early, then was too tired to go to my language class so I watched X files with dinner and read Capital by Piketty and go through about 75 pages.

I also filled out my ballot and was sad to see it’s mostly unopposed Democrats for ever race, which is precisely why nothing will ever change here. The ballot questions seem to be the only way to actually change the laws in my state anymore, and a while a couple were stupid, most of the 10 ballot questions, if they pass, will improve shit.

Of course, the legislature in my state will basically take 10 years to make any of the changes the voters pass, because they are self-interested twats who only care about make themselves richer.

Hiked up to an ancient castle in the Peloponnese, Greece. It seems like every hilltop has an old castle here.
