I don’t fault you, some exhibits are pretty depressing. There are good aquariums though.

Monterey for example, has great exhibits and they give back to the bay. I’d argue it’s the best in north america

Kaiyukan in osaka japan was amazingly pretty when I went. One of the most amazing deep ocean tanks I’ve seen and they put a lot of effort in making the exhibits

New York aquarium was pretty depressing. That one sucked TBH. Idk what they’re doing there but it’s underfunded and the tanks are kinda in disrepair.
