I’m with Costco guy. Minus humanity, or human artifacts, I’d probably go for Hawaii. The lack of predators would make the isolation and limited resources survivable.
It’s a good answer. Hawaii came to mind for me too but then I saw Costco guy’s comment. Hawaii is warm enough day and night, Winter and Summer. There’s an abundance of biodiversity and you could probably hunt and gather yourself some food pretty easily. The part that’s difficult is starting from nothing and being so remote because to reach any opportunity outside Hawaii you would have to scrounge up several hundred dollars for a flight, or if “solo” means you’re the last person on earth, you’d have to get a boat or plane.
It looks like Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island all have Costco, so it seems it was all a false dichotomy. There’s one for each of us and an extra just in case!
