It can also depend on your genes how heavily caffeine affects you. In my family my father, sister and I don’t feel caffeine much but my mother reacts very strongly

Oh… That’s what’s fucking happening! Coffee used to make me sleep, but recently it keeps me up… It happened when I started using methylphenidate instead of dex for my ADHD!

        Thx mate.

So, it’s weird but coffee just runs through my gut. Espresso is what wakes me up. I can’t explain it. If I use the aeropress, it’s concentrated enough.

I’ve been experimenting with caffeine from different sources and at different times of the day. I feel the effects are more noticeable/different when I change things up.

So maybe black coffee isn’t going to have an effect on your focus/creativity, but some caffeinated tea or energy drink might have an effect.

Also, I feel that having a meal or a healthy snack with the caffeine matters as well to get a noticeable impact. So just drinking coffee in the morning, with nothing else, isn’t going to give me much of a boost as compared to if I had a meal or snack with it.
