    The Boss is so tough, he can perform brain surgery on himself, but what is that black liquid?

    So are the Boss and Aikawa separate people? 1 body, 2 different personalities?

    What was the point of acquiring Rise’s curse magic?

      I think that Boss, Aikawa and Caiman are the same person.
      Caiman is just Aikawa that doesn’t remember his past. Aikawa is his true self that doesn’t remember his life as Caiman and Boss is Aikawa when he’s in danger. I could be wrong though…

        The following is my own speculation, not being a manga reader:

        Aikawa is the guy who attended Magic School, and the current version is a reversion to that state.

        Somewhere along the line, Aikawa became The Boss.

        Caiman is The Boss who was cursed when he tried to kill Rise to acquire his curse magic.

        Dead Rise somehow spawned that demonic Curse thing trying to kill Aikawa/The Boss.

        The Boss may or may not have succeeded in acquiring curse magic, but has obviously succeeded in acquiring En’s mushroom magic.

          Caiman is the creation of Ebisu magic, no? Maybe the curse only sealed his memories and the lizard head was another story…
