    After watching 3 episodes of this: It’s a parody of the ronin and superhero genres, but with chickens.

    It’s not brilliant though.

    The storytelling is… plodding? The main characters and their interactions are… shallow and uninteresting?

    The 2nd episode that introduces Piyoko has been the best so far, with a sympathetic Yakuza guy.

    (Maybe that’s how this show got funded!)

    I do like how the monster-of-the-week is generated by realistic human misery.

    The humor falls flat.

    Maybe better editing and direction could have saved this, but unless it makes a turnaround, I can’t recommend this.
