    Any jew who forgets that they’re not the only semitic pepple and cries antisemitism for themselves but not the Palestinians is a bad jew.

      “Antisemitism” means hatred of Jewish people. It isn’t a general term for hatred of Semitic people, just like “homophobia” isn’t a fear of sameness, it’s hatred toward gay people. Hating Palestinians makes you a horrible person, but it doesn’t make you antisemitic (though there’s certainly plenty of overlap).

            No but in this case yes. You’re letting them take the meaning away from the word and in turn you’re justifying their discrimination of other Semites.

              The term was coined as a word for hatred of Jewish people. There was no existing meaning to take away. If someone is racist against Arabs, call them racist against Arabs. Quibbling over definitions just comes off like you don’t have a better argument, especially when you’re wrong about the definitions. Being racist against Arabs isn’t bad because it’s antisemitic, it’s bad because racism is bad.
