    If that were true, there wouldn’t be an industry for plant-based foods. Vegan activists also drive real change, like exposing abuses, getting facilities shut down, and even driving legislation for better protections for animals.

    It only seems like it makes no difference now because something like 95-98% of people globally still consume animal products, but throughout the course of veganism as a social movement, the percentage of vegans has grown.

    The overton window just hasn’t moved enough yet. But it’s going to have to, because industrial animal agriculture is sheer madness and utterly unsustainable.

      the plant-based food industry may have grown, but so has the meat industry. it increases year over year, and whatever excuse you may have, being vegan hasn’t stopped that.
