You are exactly proving my point. True leftism is grounded in ideology, what you want, why you want.

You don’t appeal to the masses you don’t make hasty conclusions. Its about justifying, arguing etc.

Reactionary leftism is painting things as “right wing” which signals to other reactionaries to disapprove it just cuz its been labelled that way.

Edit: there is also reactionary rightism btw, not denying that part

Lol yeah? And? Not every comment has to be filled with insight. You can find ideology all over the place. What you’re describing is something that humans just do, anywhere there’s a line in the sand to be drawn. It’s amplified online. It just is what it is. I don’t see how this is uniquely leftist, nor what you expect to be done about it besides, like, a moderator for every interaction involving two people who disagree with each other and don’t want to bother going into ideals? This is hardly the forum.

Apparently all it takes to be “radical left” or “overly progressive” is to want policies stopping pollution, starting renewable energy projects, and respecting people’s bodily autonomy (abortion, lgbt (especially t), right to not be thrown in prison without trial, and right to privacy)

Which I suppose is reactionary, but to me also appears to come from logical and moral grounds.

Its not reactionary if you can enunciate what you want. As long as it is grounded in ideology, reasoning etc.

Reactionary leftism can not articulate why they want smth other than “its anti-right wing”.

And both right and left are not singular entities, there are lots of different group each with different characteristics.

Take example of American right wing, there is a growing sub group that is becoming anti israel. Reactoionary leftists then start moving towards israel, using israeli talking points to attack other leftists because “it doesn’t feel right” or “that’s a right wing position”.

Whereas, if you are grounded in your ideology, you would take advantage of the situation to further your own agenda like anti-imperialism or anti-capitalism or pointing out contradictions and furthering class-consciousness.

But when your guiding philosophy is “not right wing” you miss all of that.

Id argue the reactionary part of politics is almost entirely right wing, though.

Most of their policy hinges on owning the libs and subjugating those their church says they should disagree with.

Being reactionary against THAT is more defensive, really. Defensive politics are kind of just politics.
