When you launch Brave for the first time, it will push a lot of services like Brave News, Brave AI, their video call platform etc., all cloud services. Technically, they’re all open source, but I wouldn’t trust them. They have released a separate version, though, which keeps all this things disabled, which is paid on every platform except Linux builds.

Still, Brave is a whole lot better than Chrome, but I wouldn’t trust either.

I’m in India, and when I was in college, first Starbucks in the city was opened and a few of my friends including me wanted to try it. We all spent 500-600 INR ($4-5) which was a lot. After taking the first sip, we all came to the conclusion that the coffee sold at the college canteen for ₹20 was better than this overpriced slop.

I make coffee at my home for less than a dollar and I love the taste and I love the experience.

There have been at least one official cross-over comic where Spider-Man goes into an alternate reality and meets Batman. IIRC the story was something like Spider-Man accidentally arrives in Gotham, batman thinks he is some new villain and fights him.

Okay, more info then. I have used selfhosted shynet, I loved the UI. And am using rybbit’s official instance. Both can provide analytics without any cookies. Shynet works even when users have JavaScript disabled. Both can track UTM links too.
