  • If I saw this I’d report them to the local labour department for underpaying their staff, then I’d report them to the health department because there’s no way that they’re preparing safe food if that’s how much their staff needs to get tipped, then I’d report them to consumer protection for ripping off their customers, then to the tax department for tax evasion and finally I’d share this photo far and wide and write as many poor reviews as I can find locations to post them.

This is a criminal enterprise and should be treated as such.

  • I wonder if accessing your own computer is considered hosting. Ultimately network traffic is traffic.

A tool called Tailscale will allow you to access other devices on the same virtual network from anywhere, without anyone else having access.

If you install it on each device, they can share the same network, even whilst away from your own home.

If you have a computer that provides “cloud” like services, like NextCloud for example, then it too can be part of the same network.

    Outcome: You’re self-hosting without “hosting”.

  • My experience with this is receiving emails with “we will not proceed with your application” and absolutely no indication what or why, for positions that I’m uniquely qualified for.

I’m still looking, don’t use Assumed Intelligence, and want to work, but it’s not going well.

I suspect that your needs for human written applications is being thwarted by bots filtering your applicants before you even see them.
