It might be caused by stick drift, considering it’s a ps3 controller and potentially many years old by this point. Comparing it against another controller like SolarPunker suggested is a good idea. If not that, I’d look into checking the settings for sensitivity and dead zones possibly. It’s been some time since I’ve had a ps3, so I don’t really remember what the settings options are exactly.
