That’s funny. I actually think screens on some appliances are useful, like coffee/espresso machines. There are so many setting on some that it’s much easier with a screen. I guess it also depends if you use additional features or not. E.g. schedule something to do something with specific settings

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you feel like a product of your environment?
2·4 days agoHold up. How old were you? A minor’s consent should not give an adult the green light have sex in front of them.

82·4 days agoNah this is a weird comment. I highly doubt OP grew up in a space where it was not possible for their parents to shield them from their sexual activity, especially BDSM. This is child abuse bar none. At best it’s incredible negligence, but parents could have been getting off knowing how bad it was.
Also, I’m gonna need you to explain to me the evidence you have that families in other cultures are banging in front of their kids and that this isn’t affecting their psyche.

291·4 days agoI encourage you to find a good therapist if you haven’t already. Be consistent and be honest with them and yourself.
This is not me saying you’re crazy. This is me saying the internet is not a safe place to help you with a problem like this. What you experienced was not okay. Given your age and the highly sexual content you are posting I would recommend taking a break and understanding why you’re doing what you’re doing and what you are getting from it.
Apologies if you don’t need this. Sounds like you’re at a crossroads. No slut shaming here. Slut on!

Get pilot’s license and try ayahuasca. Not necessarily together.

1·6 days agoNo when you cough or choke on something. Maybe eating or drinking or just choke on your spit.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is now a bad time to make a big financial move in the US?
1·9 days agoYeah it’s rough, but depends on your job and where you work. If you’re remote you have a lot of affordable, albeit undesirable, places to live in the US. If you’re working in a metro area you likely won’t be able to afford anything decent in the immediate areas around you.
Depends. Are you also following the tongue doctrine?
If you can kiss it, do it.

37·9 days agoIf top of your price range means you’ve already calculated for what would happen if your income was jeopardized, then go for it. If top is living beyond your means, then probably not a good idea any time.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are you doing with your spare solar power?
1·10 days agoIf you’re saying power indoor growing, then yes I’d agree. Those lights use a lot of energy.
Haha that sounds awesome! Thanks
Haha nah is it a spoof?

At a high level I think it’s similar to integration of any other vendor. ROI calculation based on cost of vendor and value of costs reduced and/or revenue gained post integration. Companies may have some granular attribution models to say X investment in AI project was directly tied to Y outcomes valued at $Z.
Some execs are admitting that AI is costing more than humans.
