Wait, what? How? It compiles down to bare metal without a runtime. People write OSes and program microcontrollers with it. For any arbitrary C program, it’s possible to write Rust code such that it compiles down to the same bytecode. Am I missing something?
To add on to the points here, hantavirus is lethal in a way that doesn’t translate to widespread pandemics easily. Coronavirus is unique in that while it was 5:1 more lethal than similarly transmissible airborn viruses, that was the “Goldilocks zone” for a virus with its lethality and transmissibility to do maximum damage. Lots of excess death, but the average person generally only had a slightly rough go of it. Hantavirus has >30% lethality in many forms, and is extremely likely to burn itself out before any sort of epidemic status.
So ultimately, very unfortunate for those that contract it, but its characteristics put it way below pretty much every other airborn illness in terms of what keeps me up at night.
Wouldn’t that basically be any action that didn’t start in the prefrontal cortex? There are plenty of fauna that are basically entirely composed of “default action”.

The “official” line is that he mentioned personal information about the ICE officer who killed Renee Good in his criticism, which they are forcefully misconstruing as doxxing/incitement to harass. Which all completely falls apart when you consider the information was already reported on by major news outlets and completely public/part-and-parcel of tens of thousands of similar posts. But our government is made of shameless knuckle-draggers, so here we are.
