  • This is way bigger than just Israel, most of the Gulf Arab states hate Iran and would love to see its government fall. They’ve been funnelling literally billions of dollars to the Trump family since just before he took office again. The Qataris, Emiratis, Bahrainis, and Saudis are all openly bribing Trump, and this attack is almost certainly at least partially, if not mostly, driven by their talks with Trump behind the scenes.

There’s literally a species of laurel native to Mexico that indigenous Americans used in their food for thousands of years.

Bay leaves come from various plants and are used for their distinctive flavour and fragrance. The most common source is the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis). Other types include California bay laurel, Indian bay leaf, West Indian bay laurel, and Mexican bay laurel.

  • I think that’s a huge leap. Talarico’s positions are way left of the Democratic establishment, why would they be more “scared” of Crockett than him? He’s got Zionist groups actively campaigning against him because he’s forthright about the Gaza genocide. He’s setting his campaign up against the wealthy and openly criticizing the Democratic party’s subservience to wealthy donors. There just isn’t that much difference between their political positions, and I don’t get your angle.

    Here’s a recent headline:

Texas Jewish voters alarmed by James Talarico’s Israel rhetoric

Local leaders said that, without improved outreach from Talarico to address their concerns, they’re likely to vote for Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary

  • Entertainment is getting worse and you’re getting old. The media landscape has fractured, and there are no dominant cultural touchstones anymore. You’re looking for media in all the ways you used to, but everything is different now. There is still plenty of amazing long form content on YouTube, and lots of great movies. You have to do more seeking now, though, where before you could just open up YouTube or turn on the TV
