Yeah I honestly think its best to just let people offer up that information if they’re interested in sharing it, which they often do after talking to them a few times. I don’t get asked questions like that but I do get questions about other peoples ethnicity which I find pretty annoying, like “are they from China” or something like that. Edit: after using Summit for a while I think it’s better than sync, I do wish I could get the layout a little more compact but it’s really nice as is.

If you’re worried about breaking your computer take a look at bazzite too, it’s an immutable distro so it won’t even let you mess with important system files without really really trying. it also installs the proprietary Nvidia drivers so you don’t have to worry about that either
are you looking at the newer version of pop os? It’s still in beta, I think you would have a better experience with mint.

As far as I have read they do a lot to prevent that. AI “artists” (shartists?) don’t show in the all tab when searching, don’t get added to radio mixes, and dont get any payments from Deezer. Their AI generated tagging seems pretty accurate, I just wish it was exposed in the API so other projects could use it
