  • It doesn’t matter how willing you are. Nursing schools do not accept just any willing person. When it comes to actually doing the job… it takes a whole lot more than just being willing. The average person CANNOT be a nurse. It’s just a very tone deaf and unrealistic thing to suggest.

    It’s easy to complain about how hard something is and only a little less easy to make a change.

    Intelligence and emotional ability are not the result of willpower. It’s actually more comparable to being athletic or physically strong. Sure, most people can improve their physical health, but there is a threshold for how strong you’re capable of becoming, determined by genetics and lifestyle. Intelligence and emotional capacity are the same. It’s sort of like you showed open positions for being a bodybuilder or an MMA fighter and then said “see? there are plenty of jobs.” This makes no real-world sense.
