Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What would you pick to be reincarnated as AND WHY?English
6·26 days agoA mountain. But a revered one, that they’re not gonna blow up or dig tunnels through, like Mt Fuji. Just chill and look at the scenery and the goofy little humans, for thousands of years.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do YOU consider Kanji difficult?English
3·29 days agoI successfully read one recently! I was watching sumo, and they show the wrestlers names first in kanji, than add the romaji later, and I saw that trident looking one at the end of a name and I thought -i know that one, that’s mountain, so could be -yama, or maybe -zan, at the end of the guy’s name, and tried to guess who was coming out next. Turned out it was Kinbozan, so i was right, but also meh.

8·2 months agoIt’s hard to believe Andor S2 could be better than S1 but they actually pulled it off!
The kids who loved the original trilogy in theaters grew up to be adults with more sophisticated tastes. Andor is for them. Other Star Wars media is for new generations of kids.

0·3 months agoThey call me the hiphoppopotamus
Flows that glow like phosphorus
Poppin’ off the top o’ this esophagus
Rockin’ this metropolis
I’m not a large water dwelling mammal
Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis?
I’m not sure what to believe, but i heard that “pitbull” isn’t really a breed of dog, and rather a label applied to any dog that was trained to fight. So fighting dogs fight. No surprise there. But this certainly makes it sound like it’s not the dogs to blame for the injuries, but the POS humans who trained them to fight.

Yeah but he might be more interested in making things work WELL, rather than box-ticking lists of shiny new features that nobody asked for, like someone from Sales might do.
