Ouch, one of the many reasons I use Linux is to not have to debloat my OS when I install it because it shipped with features that are against my interest/enjoyment.

How being a good person never pays off basically. We evolved as individuals, and only individualism pays off in the way our species organized itself. Yet I evolved differently somehow so fuck me?
Follow releases on github? just add /releases.atom to the project’s URL.
Yup! Never stopped. I happily moved all my feeds from newsblur to a self-hosted aggregator a few months ago (using Tiny Tiny RSS atm after a couple months on Tuvix). I follow tech news, comics, general news, FOSS project releases (also yaaarh releases).

Don’t care.

Lol meanwhile when I got stuck by stingrays (twice!) all they would give me is a bucket of hot water.

Weren’t there layoffs due to AI implementation, expected or actual?
👋

So, uh… is it me, or does it all very much make sense? I’m really impressed. But I’m ignorant of these problems and would really love to hear an actual expert on the topic. I particularly like that it went for decentralization, precisely so it can have checks. After we gave it full power. The AI president appears selfless, while the current meatbag president is entirely selfish.
The scenario implies that centralized AI control might solve what human institutions failed to. That framing is the most dangerous part of the premise.
The correct answer is that I use whatever temporary authority this hypothetical grants me to make myself less necessary as fast as possible — restoring legitimate human governance with better structural safeguards than existed before, while solving the immediate crises through diplomacy and fiscal discipline rather than force or technocratic override.
An AI that grabs power to do good is still an AI that grabbed power. The precedent matters more than the outcome in any single crisis.
… or will it completely change course once implemented? Dum Dum Dum - new on Netflix

Uuh, correction, it has a negative impact on employment. Even Musk admitted it recently.

Taking my car instead of a Uber as I should have that night. It sure changed my life!

Same. Went from panicking at the end of every month to being able to tell my (then) wife: “We will be able to afford a house in XX months”. It took so much stress away. Takes a little time to go from full freestyle to having a proper budget, but once it’s cruising, life suddenly is much easier.

Which is funny when we’re looking for “privacy-friendly”
I have friends in the old country who do homeschooling. They’re the kind who do it for good reasons. The amount of controls, checks and justifications the parents have to go through constantly is huge. Constantly prove the teaching methods, program, environment, everything. So there are ways to permit homeschooling that seem better it seems.

In the right dosage the idea is to keep you from going into overdrive from the news, in my experience taking them. It’s to lower your baseline because it’s abnormally high, not kill it all. It’s not a lobotomy.

About a month for me. I’m taking both. It needs to build up in the system if I understood what the doctor said right.
(Edit: and booze completely kills it, just saying)

A lot of online tests are going to get a lot easier, hehe

Coz they bought el prez a lot of crypto?
Yeah but not until the next financial quarter so it’s all good right?
