Balls deep is the only way to go.
When they gain the appreciation of society, which is childish and whimsical.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is it that when the graphics driver freaks out in your browser when watching a video, the page always turns this specific shade of green?
308·17 days agoIt’s the green screen which allows blending, melding, switching and superimposing layers. You see, the way it works is that I don’t know, but it got you reading this far and wasted a few moments of your time which could have been spent doing something else, like gardening.
But really the answer is probably because it’s very nearly in the middle of the VGA color palette.
So all you gotta do is find offers where there’s a need to maintain software/hardware of industrial machines or server rooms or anything longterm really and insert yourself there, learning the specs on the go.
Easy! 😉 Heh.
Glorified repairman, but of a specialization companies and/or government can’t do without.
Sidestep into engineering. Utilities and maintenance will exist for as long as there are utilities and a need for maintenance.

Anyone tell the politicians they bent over like hand worn muppets for a gag or do you think they already know and simply enjoy being treated for the fools that they are?
Shitty pay, crappy hours, being surrounded by the dead all the time… You either gotta love the job or end up loving the dead…
Some jobs need to be done, but who’s to do them? Can one be completely sane and handle this kind of life without issue for years on end? Most of the people employed tell themselves it’s just a job and spend their time dodging the reality of handling the dead all the time, but a few… well… they go all in.
Normal is a state of mind that has us come to grips with that which is beyond our control.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are the toughest battles you have fought or are fighting?
2·1 month agoLoL no, of course it’s not. Have you read some of the comments here? My crap doesn’t even compare.
But it’s a matter of attitude towards life. I made a shitpost here, but I’m not drowning in down votes because of it. Few as it may be, people weren’t offended (mostly) and even quietly appreciated it a little. On the other hand in that other spot, I did start shit, but enough people happily jumped in to poke it further… And that says something.
Now I’m not saying your way of seeing things is wrong, it’s a trek like any other. But if you don’t recognize shit when you look at it and even poke it with a stick, can’t blame the stink for wafting over. (Just as i wouldn’t blame any reasonable action taken against me due to posting that shit in the first place.)
Life sucks. It’s shit. It stinks terribly. And making fun of that should be a basic human right.

I disagree. It may take a long time for a food product to enter mainstream consumption, but I can assure you some people will try to eat even poisonous potato berries as soon as they’re first found.

112·1 month agoI don’t know why you assume there has to be a gotcha, maybe it’s the competitive background… Anyway, it’s visual because you look at it to see it. And it’s not the best human performance vs best LLM performance, it’s best controlled performance because the testing is limited to a set of parameters.
