I grew up reading Dilbert and got a bunch of the books. It hits so different now - every comic is about how corporations abuse us for profit, but then you realize the author actually supports it.
That creates an actual slippery slope.
Day 1: everyone just down votes and it’s sunk
Day 2: one good day for the nazi tolerant, it gets enough unknowing upvotes to make it to the front page. A handful of anti-fascists block the poster and community.
Day 3: the people who politely raised their concerns above have also left. Everyone who remains is OK with downvoting on a case-by-case basis.
Day 4: people who don’t like Nazis are exhausted by having to say no over and over, also leaving.
Day 5: all that’s left are Nazis
"Nazi Bar" story for the uninitiated
Back in 2020, a writer named Michael B. Tager wrote a few tweets about his time at a dive bar in his native Baltimore.
While he was enjoying an after work beer he noticed the bartender booting out a seemingly quiet patron. This patron was wearing a jacket covered in Nazi symbolism.
When Tager asked about why he booted the guy, the bartender, a seasoned pro, said that if you let one Nazi in, slowly they replace the clientele.
“You have to nip it in the bud immediately,” he said, as Trager paraphrased. “These guys come in and it’s always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don’t want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after a while, they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.”
“And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh *****, this is a Nazi bar now,” he continued. ”And it’s too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.”
I’ll show them, I’ll avoid those cyclical crashes by switching to Bitcoin!
Inflation is either expected or unexpected by the market.
- If it’s expected, then it was already priced into your rate. The “tax incidence” of typical inflation falls on consumers, not lenders.
- If it’s not expected, then the economy is failing and that’s not good for anyone.
The average person is willfully ignorant about inflation because they benefit more from networking with people who believe the bullshit.
2·2 days agoBecause Trump being addicted to garbage food like a pleb is one of the most relatable things about him. The starvation is because of our economic system, not because others eat too much.
Dozens do daily.
The problem here is selection bias.
Do nothing? This guard.
People start peeing on them? Piss fetish guards.
Same gender inspections? Homosexual guards.
The only people who win are the actual perverts.
That’s just routine stuff. We won’t believe you unless you post technical drawings of infrastructure weak points.

How would you ask the first opinion without getting the drug seeking note?
PROTIP: If you know it’s coming up ahead of time, then order your own painkillers off the dark web.
Your doctor isn’t trying to offer the best service. They’re avoiding liability in a situation where they’re already getting paid, and senseless misery isn’t considered “harm”.
I’d ask up front if they’d be willing to prescribe medication if I didn’t expect them to write “drug seeking” in their secret libel notes.

I had a dealer like that once, he said it was too conspicuous when people stopped by for only 5 minutes. In hindsight he may have just been getting people to smoke him up.
