Holy crap this made me think of Nier: Automata. I’m pretty sure there is a dialogue, cut scene or some other context in which they say, “do androids dream of…” But I can’t remember the last part. Maybe “humans”? And I’m sure Nier got its inspiration from some philosopher or classical litterateur that I don’t know of.

I don’t find them adorable as in: 😍 but I rather adore the wonders that they bring to the world, like you said. So more as in: 🧐😯 check out eusociality and prepare to have you mind BLOWN 😃

If you want more balance between work life and private life, maybe a Scandinavian country.

I can only speak from experience regarding Japan and Sweden, where I have lived for many years. Regarding the other countries, I only speak from prejudice/image.
