Aww that’s disappointing but not surprising. I saw the headline of your third link and I was like “Damn cool move by wildlife conservation police, they’re helping people identify and track ICE agents and raids”. But of course that’s not what “monitoring for ICE” means, it means they’re helping ICE by monitoring the cameras for protestors.

Having an NPC go in front is way worse lmao. I hate little semi cutscenes where it zooms in on some NPC jumping across platforms or climbing up ledges, that’s way worse game design than having a subtle visual cue for ledges you can grab onto. I mean it doesn’t need to be as blatant as yellow paint, but just recognizable distinguishable feature if you’re gonna have a jump and hang mechanic on some ledges but not others
Unless he follows road Runner rules and now she’s just given him a bunch more houses to choose from.

2·18 days agoNo, if it’s a good blocker it’s blocking all requests and connections to wherever the ads are being served from. There’s usually ALSO a level of cosmetic filtering for things that get past the blocklist or can’t be properly filtered because they’re coming from the same server as stuff you actually want to see, but with ublock origin set to strict and noscript set to allow only whitelisted sites, my page load times are way faster. Sometimes a shitty webpage will still ‘wait around’ for a second to try and get a connection from an ad site but it’s not loading anything into memory.

11·18 days agoI mean the headline in your linked article literally calls it the ‘minimum system requirements’ not ‘reccomended’. Games have had two sets of requirements for decades, I don’t see why they couldn’t do the same. Regardless if you need to run Linux on older/less powerful hardware there’s much better choices than Ubuntu, which is designed to be as beginner-friendly as possible at the cost of performance and customizability as is, so in their case I guess it kinda makes sense to dumb it down.
Are you using connect as a client? Because the same thing happened to me, I wonder if it’s a bug with the client or with the server software.
But why do they only need to hold it for 3 days, not the whole 5?

11·24 days agoImagine caring about what people think when they’re obsessed with what software you use to text. I’m just fucking annoyed so much of my family uses iphone, and despite being able to be part of their group chat, there’s no way to use RCS or some other message format better than fucking SMS/MMS.

2·1 month agoWikipedia I would never do this for, but site:reddit.com or even just adding the word Reddit to the end of my search term has been my trick to finding good information for like 15 years now. It’s more useful now than ever, despite how shitty reddit has gotten. Reddit’s search is terrible though and searching the same thing using Reddit’s search rarely gives good results.

Or reword what they’re saying. I don’t get that at all. I’ll repeat myself once if someone doesn’t hear me, if they still don’t get it I’ll say it louder but also use different words so they have more information, or in case the problem wasnt that they didn’t hear me but that they didn’t understand.

2·1 month agoThat’s weird, that’s the opposite of what I was taught, which was that dependence was a psychological reliance on a drug and addiction was the body’s physical response and adjustment to the drug. Doing a quick google it seems like those terms have been switched, likely to take away some of the stigma due to the whole addiction is a disease thing.

How can you not have skeerls?
