8·27 days agoThe worst bit is how smug and condescending they are about it, thinking they’re the adults in the room when they’re more like the pigeon shitting on the chessboard and strutting around like they’ve won.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why does it seem like teenagers killing people is way more commonplace in the UK now?English
1·30 days agoI worked in a predominantly rural area and in 2004/2005 our station was firebombed twice, police officers were regularly assaulted and we would have to attend incidents as a three because we needed someone to look after the vehicle whilst dealing with a job.
It wasn’t a friday night if we weren’t having bottles chucked at us from alleyways, and youth drunkeness and antisocial behaviour was rife.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s your most controversial opinion?English
81·1 month agoSure, but if you’re gonna claim that trans people having either binary gender identity is necessarily conformity to gender stereotypes, then you need to accept that a cis person being either a man or a woman is even more so.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•"Being vegan is unnatural"English
33·1 month agoYes to both. Nonconsentual digital penetration isn’t suddenly ok just because the perpetrator works in a specific field. Teachers hold power over students’ lives to such an extent that students might not be able to reasonably refuse consent, ergo, they cannot freely give it. What the actual fuck is wrong with you, you creep???
