A dingo ate my baby.
Part of the fun was that most people knew what i meant. Like the IsHeDeadYet website. I noticed that someone posted the full question in AskLemmy shortly after mine.

It was so good. Huge applause with a line about silence equaling agreement. No mask- just his regular face.
The passing that will hopefully begin the decline of the maga cult.

How was that? I read a bit about it and wondered if it was good

I’ve heard such mixed reviews. People love it or hate it, but no one says why- what’s good or bad about it. I’d like to see it but have been worried about spending the $ on something we wouldn’t enjoy.

I had tickets to see Sweeney Todd with Josh Groban. I bought tickets for a Friday and accidentally put it on my calendar for Saturday. So bummed!

We recently saw a show called Wild Party. Had a couple of uncomfortable moments but was overall very good.
Saw a great, really fun production of As You Like It at Writers Theater near Chicago at Thanksgiving. They got several inches of snow that morning so the theater was half empty and the Uber there was terrifying! Really cool little theater.
Seeing Good Night, Oscar at a local theater Thursday night. It’s small but usually has good shows. Last year they did one called Satchmo at the Waldorf where one actor played Louis Armstrong, his manager, and Miles Davis.

We usually prefer plays to musicals but Cabaret is one of my favs. We got to see it with Orville Peck as Emcee. So good!
Was that the brunch comment? No biggie. It’s not a super serious discussion- just an internet post on No Stupid Questions. A certain percentage of responses are expected to be negativish. That’s what keeps the web spinning.
If all the magats who posted HE IS RISEN yesterday (for their friends to see) actually went to church, my favorite brunch places would be easier to get into.
Guy goes to the news stand every morning, looks at the stack, grumbles, and walks away. One day the seller asks him what he’s looking for.
“An obituary.”
“Obituaries are at the back, not on the front page.”
“The one I’m looking for will be.”
Interesting. Can you elaborate, please?

Not a germaphobe, but i don’t do sex feet or food.

At this house we keep it open- it has a nice window that i like and there’s a dog gate in the doorway. In the last house we kept it closed to keep the cats from peeing on the rug.

Inherited a 3 bedroom house from my mom and it was full (overfull) of her stuff. My house had 4 full bedrooms. Both had full garages. Like you, it’s just stuff- not trash , though some was old mail and magazines.
I have big trash pickup every Wednesday. I usually put things on the curb on Saturday and Sunday and much of it is gone before the trash people come. I like knowing that it’s going to someone instead of a landfill.
Other items were donated to a local organization that runs a thrift store.
About 40 bags of clothing and bedding went to my cleaning lady. She keeps what she can use and the rest goes to her church. They offer it to people here and the rest goes to the border. We tease that in a few months we will turn on the news to see everyone at the border dressed like my mom. ❤️
The ‘mementos’ or items that i feel nostalgic or sentimental about - I’ve learned that it takes me 3 times of interacting with items to decide what i definitely want to keep and what can go. I’ve also learned to be ok with that. I can narrow from 10 boxes to 7, then to 5, and if those sit in a closet for s year before i do more, so be it.

Look that up in your Funk and Wagnalls!
When I’m high i think my like it game and I’ll wake up to find that I’m 12. I make my husband promise to do everything exactly the same, even the stupid stuff, so we end up together. Ridiculous, but makes total sense to weed brain.
