1·27 days agoI suspect part of the lack of outrage is the fact that you don’t have to change your inputs much these days. If you only stream content from a gaming console with apps then you’re never changing the channel or the inputs. and if you ARE changing the channel, they could easily seem like just regular TV ads.
I don’t think the average 20 something or 30 something is channel surfing like they used to in the old days either way. If you’re changing a channel you likely know what you want to watch and what channel it’s on. So, each change of the channel is one or two ads every hour or so. because even with cable you have the cable based TV guide interface.

2·27 days agoI took the money I was going to spend on a TV and bought a 50 inch on facebook market place. Then, I got a last-gen gaming PC. Is it tedious? yes, but I can play video games and watch whatever I want without getting spied on so its a fucking win. *ads from changing the inputs and channels on your own device?" fuck you. I hope this tv lasts the next two decades.

121·1 month agoCool. Now that the Tech companies have pilfered it they’re going to shut it down. There are a ton of books on there that aren’t even worth money anymore. They’re out of print or 1-2 editions behind the scholarly current.

10·1 month agoI’m already pissy about them constantly trying to have my cc data everytime I make on online purchase. Windows asks, Google asks, ebay ask, and then my browser asks.
The answer is always no.
To ID verification, My discord is a decade old. If you can’t do math well enough to guess that I wasn’t 8 when I made it then that’s a you problem.
