My wrist watch got detached and fell on that gap, three stories down. Maintenance guy went to the basement and recovered it.
I’m afraid of it since.

They want you know they are grooming real children

If ever going to try this, ask to make it a script fully explained, then read it and fully backup before you run.

There was a very weird placement on Supernatural on some episodes with a “tech genius”. Very jarring how forced it was.

I saw one around ten years ago. My boss bought it, used it for a week and bought a new mac.
OS was the main issue for him.

Couple of years back I got a PR at work that used a block of code that read a CSV, used some stream method to covert it to binary to then feed it to pandas to make a dataframe. I don’t remember the exact steps it did, but was just crazy when pd.read_csv existed.
On a hunch I pasted the code in google and found an exact match on overflow for a very weird use case on very early pandas.
I’m lucky and if people send obvious shit at work I can just cc their manager, but I fell for the volunteers at large FOSS projects, or even paid employees.

Is the Bunny ok? That didn’t sounds healthy

Install 3rd party OS to disable
That’s the first step

You only prove the price of RAM on the US, while complaining about US centrism.
I’m not trying to convince you, or disprove you. I’m just letting you show the absurdity of what you say, so that nobody is fooled by you. In that sense, this last message is enough to close this. Thanks.

I’m quoting Fox because the other mentioned US. Blame them for US centrism, but then please update your incomes and costs to somewhere like Somalia, or even Greece. But that would be too woke or something?
Even if most people can, that doesn’t mean that if you can’t is because of bad decisions. That means being homeless is because of bad decisions. That means that those already on debt for medical issues made a bad decision.
For a lot of people spending those 16 dollars on RAM is the bad decision.
BTW, median income is absurd. You can have income and still spend on living expenses more than you earn. Now please tell me people needs to move to rural Ohio to maw grass to buy 8 gigs of RAM.
Edit: somehow I’ve struck a nerve with people from programing.dev who created the account on the same day, never commented anything and saw my comment within a few minutes of one another. I think I’ve struck a nerve :)

“No doubt they are always connected but I double down anyway”.
One could mow a few lawns and have enough cash to keep up with the modern requirements of an 0S.
Now that’s not just reddit, thats Fox News levels disconnect with reality.

Poverty = life choices is the most reddit I’ve seen in Lemmy in a long while

Same. Got XP and Vista from the university, license for Vista allowed to update to 7, 10 (never used 8)… Now I use LTSC + massgrave activation, but technically I have a 10 license.
They were not. They killed the PSP and the Vita. Even before the N64 and the GCube had massive exclusives.
The only “recent” failure was the Wii U, which had only one or two great exclusives.
But you’re not the market. So this not working for you doesn’t mean it’s a bad strategy, and Nintendo is an example of a company who pulled this off.
Well, exclusive games is the only thing Nintendo really has going for, and it’s working. And those games being first or third party isn’t really making much difference for the final user.
Only real difference is hardware lock in.

Actually, one more use case is my SO. Can’t/won’t use Linux, and I’m not fighting. But needs an up to date OS on the ancient lappet laptop, so 10 IOT it is.

Great in the sense I don’t have to bother for 6 years for a partition I will use less than 24 hours over that period of time haha.
So far I’ve used it to scan once (for some reason that day skan decided to not work) and to make a windows install USB for my SO.
I tried Expedition 33 thinking performance issues were a Linux thing by no, it’s just like that.
So it’s a long term unlikely to be used OS, and for that long support is great.

It gives you 6 years to transition to a better OS. Or to become CEO of Microslop and improve things.
It’s honestly great, even for me who only boot into windows once every few months.
That means you have bait for the first encounter. Not bad.
