It boils down to this: Going to the moon in the 60’s was political, though a massive technical feat.

Since then we’ve figured out how to send robots to fucking Mars to do the science we want to do, for a fraction of the cost (and none of the risk) of sending humans.

Artemis just isn’t where we should be spending money, never mind the political bullshit surrounding it, and the typical government vendors getting their hands in the cookie jar like they did for Apollo (looking at you, Boeing).

And I say all this as someone fascinated by Apollo, and as excited as anyone else by the prospect of humans on the moon. I just no longer see the cost/benefit of humans vs automation there.

We have remote rovers in the sea and on Mars. For the moon surely we could send all sorts of devices to do science there. It’s faster to reach, we have near real-time comms, it has a greater solar exposure so power is less of a problem. So where are those rovers?

We don’t have them because they would expose the pointlessness of sending humans.

As a OneNote user with similar time, there’s nothing else that compares.

I’ve been testing stuff for years, and nothing else really comes close.

You can replicate the notebook structure with some other apps, but it’s not the same.

I stick with OneNote 2016 on all my machines, since they can all sync via LAN with just a share.

The modern app crap is garbage, and I resent the mobile app requiring OneDrive - so my mobile devices get one specific notebook.

Cute, but MP was way smarter than that, so kinda falls flat.

Smartphones have been a thing since at least 2006 (actually earlier), and commonplace since at least 2010.

I haven’t seen a T9 phone since then.

Maybe before about 2008 when smartphones became ubiquitous.

To see it today is annoying, especially since auto correct wants to make it “you”.

At least with places like Denver and other western cities it’s pretty straightforward how it happened - everything built along the river. Access to the river was key.

Being a boom/bust city means that a much later boom they adjusted.

Then even older cities (think Boston) grew before any opportunity at planning could happen.
