No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I would write something extensive, but I don't wanna end up writing incoherent stuff, especially since I sometimes rely on AI to write stories for me. What should I do?
1·1 month agoI’m sure you have plenty of reasons, but you’ve essentially asked the same question multiple times. ‘How do I write’, and you keep getting the same answers ‘Just write’. Seems like writing isn’t for you if you can’t be bothered to do it.

1·2 months agoIt seems to me that, judging by your post history, you want to be recognized as a creative without actually doing the hard work of being creative. To answer this question, your past questions and ,probably, all future questions you post: to be a writer, you do the work of writing. AI won’t make you a writer, and if you rely on it, you will never be a writer.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•According to an MIT study, relying on ChatGPT for stuff like essays and creativity leads to cognitive atrophy and such. What should I do when writing stories without ChatGPT and other AI chatbots?

13·2 months agoThat’s a broad question, man. People dedicate years of their lives learning to write. I don’t know if anybody on lemmy is going to be able to answer ‘what should I do to write?’ Stephen King said in his book ‘On Writing’: “If you don’t have time to read, then you don’t have time to write.” I would start with reading books, some of which could be about writing, and maybe taking some classes at your local community college. Khan Academy also has some free courses for writing, I think.
