While not perfect color-wise and kinda expensive at the beginning, LED’s still were much better than the coventional energy saving bulbs, which l omitted because they got me headaches.
Well, different than today you could just select classic style somewhere and it looked like the improved cross between W95 and NT, while today I’m stuck with the abysmal W11 interface.
I can’t say much about the browser though, as I am old netscape gang that soon increasingly switched to Phoenix (that’s what later became Firefox).
Basically wasn’t that much of an issue if you knew your way around.
XP crashed more often than newer Releases, though (but still much less than W95).
Just move the spice board to a different place?

The comics themselves are not that bad imo, I actually liked quite a few of the ones l’ve seen so far…
l guess it is a lot harder in the US, as it was formed by people immigrating from all over the world.
Might be easier in more homogenous populations, e.g. some parts of Europe.
Eg. I live in Germany and was 14 years old when seeing the first black person in real life, a girl from Eritrea whose family had moved to my school district.
Only dark skinned person in a school with 400+ pupils.
Asian people are more common in my region, but there are probably many rural areas you would be stared at a lot.
This kind of stuff now regularly spilling across the pond feels so completely absurd that l have a hard time grasping it at all for total lack of sane real world reference.
Sometimes feels like the US drifted into some alternate dimension based on some Vonnegut novel or so, and the space-time-ripples caused by this are mangling the rest of the world.

Yes, arranged in a circle, 24 at the top, 12 at the bottom, lower part is day, upper part is night.
App also had a daylight indication shading depending on local sunrise/sunset.

The instruction manual of my first bought game, a flight simulator on the Atari ST, was basically a printed pilot crash course.
I also had some thick copied instruction folders from the more… unconventional acquired games, often because the copy protection was like: “Enter the 5th word of the 13th line on page 54!”.
Similar, but 95 already moved to second partition in 98 or so already.
7 was my last one privately.
Still stuck with W11 at work, but for a large part just use at it as a starting platform for WSL and Virtual Box.
