It really makes you think if this planet was designed by mice or not.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my carbon, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of magnesium. I aspired to the purity of the blessed Mg. Their kind cling to their flesh, as if it will not cramp and fail them.
Hydration certainly helps but can also be magnesium deficiency, since it’s a muscle relaxant.

You know that trope where there’s an amalgam big bad of all kinds of crap thrown together with something ironic in the center controlling it all? Someone ought to do Vger but it’s just an inkjet printer and it wants everyone dead because of course it does.
Fun fact, plants emit ultrasonic clicks when stressed, from some kind of bubble cavitation in their cells when there’s no water. They do be screamin their leaves off, we just can’t hear it.

111·2 months agoThat would be my bet, LLMs really gravitate towards playing along and continuing whatever’s already written. And Gemini especially has a 1M long context so it could be going back for a book’s worth of text and reinforcing it up the wazoo.
That said, there is something really unhinged about Google’s Gemma series even in short conversations and I see the big version is no better. Something’s not quite right with their RLHF dataset.

It’s always ironic to see non-native Americans talk about stopping illegal immigration, like hahaha it’s not so funny now is it.
