Good shout. Blocked as well.
I run to work and back, so both
My understanding was that atheism is the belief that there is no god(s), whereas to be agnostic is the absence of belief one way or another, i.e unable to prove or disprove existence of god(s). With this interpretation it’s more scientifically rational (for whatever that’s worth) to be agnostic than atheist.
The importance of such a distinction doesn’t merit much fuss beyond freshman philosophy though since you get some atheists who are absolutely evil cunts and plenty of genuinely good people of almost all religions.

Huh, in one recent run I was using stars to block and do chip damage whilst slowly building up the blade for a big wallop at the end.

Yeah, we moved in together after 3 months, bought a house in 12, and baby in 24. Both in our 30s with steady careers and able to communicate so whilst it was relatively fast it never felt like there was something going unsaid.

Having children: I was completely against it for most of my adult life, then dated someone who wanted children while I still didn’t and realised what compromise meant. Now I’ve got a kid with another person and the person who changed my mind is almost set against having kids.
Recreational drugs: I thought they were stupid and should be banned harder until my friends started smoking weed, etc. I eventually became a stoner for a while, but have since figured that the issue is more around disordered drug use which is more socially circumstantial than individual.
My opinions on the death penalty would turn liberal philosophers in their graves enough to power a town.
A purrrveyor of quality goods
Or one might say, a commeowsseur

I’ll second (or third) shows like The Wire, Deadwood, The Terror (S1), Chernobyl, True Detective (S01 & S04), etc.
For something less man focused there’s The Change which is a slightly surreal series about Bridget Christie’s character setting off to rural England on her motorbike when she gets tired of her family.
Just started watching Dirty Business which is like Chernobyl but about English sewage, i.e. excellent acting around a slow motion disaster caused by human error and arrogance.

Slightly mad fact that I didn’t notice on my first watching is that it’s mostly in iambic pentameter.

Oh no, they don’t like pylons either. They just want coal plants in poor people’s gardens and subterranean power cabling.

Hawkwind has been going so long it’s basically an institution. Fuck knows how Dave Brock is still going

Maybe ICUs will upgrade their staffing ratios instead if the costs change that much
There’s a bit more context to some of these (UK).
If you say you’re getting something out of the boot then it’s going to be out of the car, but if you’re putting on your boots then you’re probably putting on some sturdy footwear.
When used as slang, a knob is definitely a dick, but it’s also used in door knob (just a lump to pull on, rather than a handle) or can be used as a quantity of butter, i.e. a knob of butter to go on your toast.
Biscuits can include crackers, but generally they aren’t baked goods with raising agents or yeast.
Chips are not french fries. They’re in between French fries and potato wedges, and the best ones are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Some people think they shouldn’t be crispy, but they’re wrong.
