My Morning Jacket - In it’s Infancy (The Waterfall)

I found this song and got stoked I might have a new band to dig into. Dammit if the rest of their music isn’t boring as shit. I found them so dull, I actually had to come back to this song and make sure I didn’t mistake it for another band.

Same thing happened with Jesus & the Brides of Dracula - Turning Teeth

The song has a killer vibe, and then when I found out it was The Silversun Pickups I was actually bummed to know they could make such interesting music, but don’t.

To be fair, Disasterpiece wrote the song, but Silversun did something with it much cooler than anything else they’ve written.

Wooze. Put their entire discography on a playlist, hit shuffle. You’re welcome.

Battle Tapes. Their latest album is a few years old, but it’s solid all the way through. Their entire discography is also worth it, though.

Before Dave Brockie died, I’d go see GWAR anytime we were both in the same state. Always good. Always worth it.

RX Bandits are easily worth seeing again and again. Just a powerhouse live energy and some of the most underrated song writing/composition. They are one of those bands I don’t tell people about until I’m sure they have decent taste in non-mainstream music. They are touring right now, just got tickets.

Less Than Jake used to be one of those “assemble all our musician friends, LTJ is back on tour” bands.

I’ve seen Hieroglyphics a good number of times. Always worth it.

The Smoking Popes were an amazing show every time I’ve seen them as well.

Something else to consider, a lot of sandwich places use “deli mayo.” it has a much higher fat content than the stuff you can buy at the grocery store. Which, obviously, has a significant effect on flavor and texture.

It can be a key factor when trying to replicate restaurant recipes.

I think “The Skatalites” qualify, simply out of the age of the band.
