I wouldnt say terrible unless you compare with number one in the world. They are doing quite well. Also ranked 8th in the world as an economy.

Its not a super power so I would say they are doing great. Its not perfect but its a great place to live.

They are not rich though and thats something you have to accept living in Italy.

That “being lazy” thing is definently an American culture phenomenon. If you live in Italy, you chill and enjoy life. You have friends and family and a good climate.

Yeah I agree, im not against science either. Its a very useful tool and without it, we would not be able to do much.

I just think there is also the aspect of the soul, and spirituality, which makes us human beings. Without that, we are just animals. And science says we are just animals. I dont think so. Everyone knows what their news talk about. A few people read books, but not many.

I would not want to live under communism, but it certainly is portrayed as more crazy than it actually is.

There are zero tv shows about communist people doing normal things in life. Its pretty much a banned topic that people go out and party, watch movies, eat pizza… Same as in the west. We are not very different.

And if you travel, you see this. Its just people. But yes, the leaders are insane. In every major nation.

Thats actually true. There wasnt any military industrial complex with billions to earn from his decisions. In a way, that movie is sticking to the public school version of what our leaders are.

I have a friend who I sometimes discuss these things with. He has exactly the same view as you here - traits being passed down to help the species survive. You know why its the same? Because this is what science says about it. And if you read science, you will believe the same things. Its not even your own thoughts.

I just find that interesting. But I also realize the same can be said for spirituality. If you ask someone what they believe, its always a carbon copy of what is popular to believe in those circles.
