You can participate, but not define how things work or how you are seen.

I suppose the goal is to create an alternative to LinkedIn or Xing. It’s still in its infancy, but I think it’s a remarkable idea.

    I guess that’s the same difference as between Facebook and LinkedIn

    A place to look for or offer jobs, introduce your company and your newest product, and so on.

      I meant stuff like this: someone posts a nsfw image on pixelfed, how will be determined, that this activity is not professional?

      Facebook and LinkedIn are not federated, so this will not happen in their context. In the fediverse it will.
