My husband’s cat (by her own designation—she chose him) sleeps at the foot of my side of the bed because I don’t kick her in my sleep. But as soon as he’s awake, she leaps up to go and snuggle with him.
for me it’s similar. most of the night our orange boy is sleeping on my wife’s legs, sometimes he changes to me, but usually not to long because i move to much. in the morning he is them doing all the effort to wake us up, from lying on your chest and purring, over licking your ear to chewing on my apnoe hose… whatever works. our other cat used to sleep on us too, but he got annoyed to much that the orange one bothers him each time. recent addition is him climbing under my blanket and lying in front of me.
