Don’t worry, the bubble pop will make it much harder for companies to afford doing this.

Current estimate, based off the financial side of the AI industry, is mid 2027 or earlier.

Look up Ed Zitron if you are interested in following the current situation.

Yeh, I watch his stuff. IMO, it won’t be a pop where there is a concentric splatter of damage hitting everyone. Those that are propping this whole thing up have so much wealth that they can keep circulating it back into the market and decide when they want it to go. So, when this goes, IMO, it will be more like an intentional harvesting of organs with entities ready to take for their own use. I think this is just part of the plan … another part being Anthony Snyder calling out superpower suicide… there are interconnections with all of this.

Most of the wealth is share prices though, so when there’s a market crash, they won’t have as much anymore…

Also the banks lending the money for the data center build outs will have some big defaulting loans similar to the 2008 financial crisis(although i think the peak debt is possibly still a lot less than 2008?), but with even less real estate value as security, since they’re mostly built on lower value land…

Yes, it’s going to hurt the small fish the most, the big fish the least, and also all kinds of VC and individual investors, in short, grease of the economy that could benefit a lot of things instead of getting burnt. Not even talking about those investors suffering. Kicking the ladder is the real “flaw of capitalism” and not what people who want to rob those they don’t like think.
