Bigotry? Have you seen the bigotry that goes on in Northern Ireland in July every single year?

This is nothing compared to that.

        Whats your point?

32% of the population of Northern Ireland identify as British only, not Irish, and they are openly hostile to anything even remotly relating to Irishness to the point that they actively campaign against things like the use of the Irish language in public spaces because they see it as a threat.

Those people only exist in Northern Ireland because they are descendants of British colonists as a direct result of British Imperialism (which is the topic that kicked off the comment thread here) resulting in the Plantations of Ulster, the Protestant Ascendency and the displacement and discrimination of Irish people and targeted destruction of the Irish language and culture.

And you think talking about that is bigotry?

EDIT: Also, what do you mean Irish “Brit bashing” in this scenario? Theres no indication that this post was made by an Irish person and theres loads of comments from other nationalities in this thread, but the only one you decided to engage with was a comment that mentioned that Britian conquered Ireland? Why are you ignoring everyone else? Why are you only responding to comments relating to Ireland? Sounds to me like you have a bit of bigotry yourself.

And? The Beakers wiped out 90% of the Neolithic people. The Irish are the purist Beaker people, and they committed the worst genocide in European history.

          Imperialism is enlightened in comparison.

It’s historic fact. If I have to account for my dead ancestors, then so do they

Except it isnt an historic fact because the Beakers didnt “wipe them out”. They were absorbed into Beaker culture over hundreds of years due to migration.

And Beaker is a cultural phenomenon, not a race of people. Those Beaker people on the island of Ireland were not necessarily genetically related to those on the continent.

And even if they did wipe them out, the Beakers were not a single unified people under one flag and one leader like the Brits. Why would people living far off on an island off the west coast of Europe have anything to do with the actions of people on the continent just because they make similiar pottery?

                Your comparison is ridiculous.
