Got to experience it in San Francisco one year for a Chinese new year parade. It really is scary, you are utterly helpless and nobody can do anything. Panic at scale is scary.

There was a medium sized tree that I braced my arms against and held myself away, wife between tree and I. Stood there holding myself out for a while but I was getting tired and wasn’t going to last a lot longer. Thankfully crowd broke and it stopped.

I still hate San Francisco, always some stupid shit happen every time I went. Fuck that city.
