    You can drill down to get to the heat. The problem is the people with the skills and equipment needed to do this all work for the oil industry.

      Yes but no. But yes.

      Fault lines, water tables and permabality of rock are major constraints.

        Sure it wouldn’t be as easy as in places like Iceland, and I’m sure it would mean figuring out a lot of issues. And yeah, you wouldn’t be able to do it literally everywhere, but it probably would work in a lot more places than Iceland. But there’s currently no incentive to even try.
