      Silently silencing the biggest queer and leftist voices for a bunch of users is quite disturbing the more one thinks about it. What if other frontends secretly do the same thing? What if other open source devs secretly want to control your opinions and speech, influencing you without your knowledge or consent? This is a terrible precedent for the fediverse, and something we absolutely cannot tolerate unless we want it to happen again.

        I mean I get it, but I kinda feel like the ghost has been busted and the cat has left the bag. Hell, I shared it on Mastodon myself when I heard about it. We’ll all be paying far more attention to blocklists from here on out, assuredly.
