it’s actually the other way around. pornhub makes my gut wrench from how bad the quality is. xvideos is mostly smut but has some good stuff.
edit: i should clarify. it’s not entirely true what i said. but pornhub tends to have “commercial” porn which is mostly from the US and is reaaaaly bad. they treat women worse than cattle in a slaughterhouse. if you look at stuff from asia in general (china / japan), you see the difference in quality. amateur stuff is also mostly good because people are in it voluntarily, instead of because they need money.

That’s an assumption. Plenty of “amateur” producers are still in bad situations. There was the recent OF scandal of pimps forcing girls to produce content. There’s private recordings that were made in good faith and later publicly distributed (i.e. revenge porn.) There’s women that posted on Reddit when they were 19, and now that they’re 25 they can’t seem to scrub the pictures off the net. If you’re looking at a real live person, there’s a non-zero chance that they don’t love that you’re looking.
I’m not saying don’t look at pornography. Just don’t take it for granted that anything you find was ethically sourced. The only assuredly ethical choice for cranking your hog is what the real freaks post to AO3.

chinese / japanese porn actresses are treated with more dignity than american starbucks employees.
Im not going to pretend to be an expert on this, but my understanding is that the condition for women in japanese porn is pretty bad.
